Kathleen Gerenger: Multi-Sport Athlete

Kathleen Gerenger is known for being a very professional and technically-skilled accountant, but she also loves practicing and competing in individual sports. When she isn’t working on any number of varied accounting projects, Kathleen Gerenger can be found participating in a number of challenging athletic activities. Kathleen Gerenger can often be found heading out for a run or saddling up her horse, Gamble, a retired racehorse who she rescued from slaughter. Kathleen Gerenger loves to run and ride.

Kathleen Gerenger finds that these activities give her a chance to improve as an athlete while injecting some excitement, exercise, and fun into her life, in a way that is engaging and enjoyable. Kathleen Gerenger is a person who loves to feel challenged, which is why she is such a fan of both running and riding Gamble. Kathleen Gerenger enjoys a sense of variety, and considers being both a competitive runner and equestrian a great use of her leisure time. But while many people go jogging or enjoy horseback riding for fun, Kathleen Gerenger actually competes in both areas. Kathleen Gerenger loves to register and compete in local footraces with other runners where she lives. Quite often, Kathleen Gerenger finds local fundraising runs to compete in, so that she can combine two things she values very highly: running and civic engagement.

Through these races, Kathleen Gerenger hopes to raise needed funds for the causes she believes in, while also honing her skills as a runner and trying out new race strategies. But Kathleen Gerenger doesn’t only compete in running competitions. Kathleen Gerenger also enjoys competing in multi-day equestrian competitions with Gamble. One of Kathleen Gerenger’s proudest equestrian victories was when she and Gamble won an event at the Geneseo Horse Trials. It was a proud moment for Kathleen Gerenger to excel at one of the activities she loves.
