Kathleen Gerenger Triumphs at the Geneseo Horse Trials

Kathleen Gerenger and her rescued retired racehorse, Gamble, shared a recent victory when they won the training level event at the Geneseo Horse Trials. Kathleen Gerenger, though better known for being a professional accountant and a dedicated supporter of her family, also makes time for many different hobbies. Horseback riding and competing in equestrian events are two of Kathleen Gerenger’s most treasured activities. Horseback riding and building her equestrian skills present a very exciting physical challenge for Kathleen Gerenger. Kathleen Gerenger works diligently to improve as a horsewoman, so accomplishing this athletic feat with her horse at the Geneseo Horse Trials was an exciting triumph.

But Kathleen Gerenger’s victory was all the sweeter, because it was shared with her beloved horse, Gamble. Kathleen Gerenger’s horse has an interesting story of his own. Kathleen Gerenger actually rescued him from being sent to slaughter after he retired as a professional racehorse. Saving the lives of retired racehorses is something that Kathleen Gerenger holds in high esteem, so it should come as no surprise that Gamble is a rescue horse. In addition to adopting Gamble, Kathleen Gerenger is an active volunteer with the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation of New York, which works to protect horses like Gamble.

At the Geneseo Horse Trials, Gamble and Kathleen Gerenger were very happy with their athletic success. It required a great deal of focus and teamwork, and it was a great way for Kathleen Gerenger to put her equestrian skills to the test. Kathleen Gerenger has been an avid horseback rider for many years. She finds that it is a great way to combine her love of animals with her love of fitness.
